Hunter James Isaacson is an American entrepreneur, product designer, and viral growth hacker...
Hunter started building apps shortly after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Buckley School, a K-12 College Prep school. In the months prior to starting college at the University of Southern California, Hunter began building Leadr, an investor backed 'Foursquare' for Gen-Z. The app was an incredible learning experience and ultimately was killed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Immediately following the shut down of Leadr, Hunter partnered with some friends and launched Zoom University, a live college double dating app. Zoom University exploded in popularity and reached #9 on the App Store social networking charts. The success of ZoomU opened doors to consult at top fortune 500 companies including Crest, GNC, Oral-B, Casper, and many more. Hunter aided in creating experiences for younger users and improving the mobile checkout experience.
By the end of 2020 Hunter was recruited to join 9 Count, a consumer social holding company founded by Alex Hofmann, the former president of Musical.ly/TikTok. There, Hunter designed 10+ apps and shipped 5 of them. These included popular ‘make new friends’ app Wink, which generated 20M+ downloads worldwide, and Summer - the fastest growing dating app in the US.
While at 9 count Hunter dropped out of USC and spent late nights tinkering with social app concepts. Hunter founded NGL with a few friends in November 2021. The goal of NGL was to bring anonymous Q&A to instagram stories and become the askfm for Gen-Z. To date more than 500M messages have been sent on NGL.
Hunter is a professional level Alto Saxophone player, a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, and a black diamond snowboarder. He’s been an avid crypto/nft investor since 2017 and plans to build more platforms in this space (stay tuned). Hunter will ultimately shape an entire generation of consumer social products.
